Scholarship America Scholarships

Scholarship America only manages the Community Foundation’s scholarships, but they also manage several other scholarships across the country. Below, explore Scholarship America’s educational resources and see if you qualify for any of their additional scholarships.

Scholarships for Lancaster County Students

The School District of Lancaster has compiled a list of scholarships for Lancaster County students ranging from $400 to full-ride scholarships. If you are a student at McCaskey High School, you may qualify for additional funding opportunities. Learn more below.


Lancaster Dollars for Higher Learning Interest Free Loans

Lancaster Dollars for Higher Learning offers interest-free loans for students who have graduated from Lancaster County high schools, plan to attend an accredited post-secondary institution full-time, and demonstrate financial need. Learn more below.

RaiseMe Micro-Scholarships

RaiseMe partners with more than 200 colleges to reward high school students based on their achievements during high school in college, such as receiving an A in a particular subject or holding a leadership role in a particular sport. Each college selects its own eligibility requirements and award amounts. Learn more below.

Horatio Alger Scholarship Programs

The Horatio Alger Association provides undergraduate, graduate, and career & technical scholarships to deserving young people throughout the country. These scholarships are intended for students who have critical financial need, demonstrate integrity and perseverance in overcoming adversity, and are committed to pursuing higher education. Study.com Comprehensive Guide to Scholarships

Study.com has compiled a guide to scholarships for high school seniors. Below, explore tips for applying for scholarships, writing scholarship essays, and more. Their guide includes links to several scholarship databases, which students can use to quickly identify scholarships that match their unique qualifications.

Special Interest Scholarships

Nursing Scholarships

The nursing field is growing due to increasing demands for health care services, an aging population, and the need to replace retiring nurses. Below, explore Johnson & Johnson’s database of over 300 nursing scholarship opportunities.

Mental Health Careers Scholarships

Touchstone Foundation is dedicated to enhancing the mental well-being of youth across Lancaster County. As part of their mission and to develop the workforce, they provide scholarships to Lancaster County students who are majoring in social work, psychology, and psychiatry. Learn more below.

Building Industry Scholarships

The Lancaster Building Industry Foundation provides scholarships to Lancaster County residents who are pursuing continuing education in the building trades, including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, masonry, sheet metal, equipment operation, safety management, and other related fields.

Logistics Industry Scholarships

As one of the leading long-distance moving companies in the United States, North American Van Lines is committed to supporting the growth of their industry. Each year, they provide three (3) $1,000 scholarships to students who are pursuing a degree in logistics or an equivalent field. Applications are due by December 15. Learn more below.

Cosmetology and Barber Scholarships

Great Clips believes in the future of the hair industry and offers over $100,000 total in cosmetology or barber scholarships to students each year. Future stylists and barbers are invited to apply to receive a cosmetology or barber school tuition scholarship, valued at up to $5,000 each. Learn more below.

Resources for Asian American and Pacific Islander Students

Resources for Native American Students

Native American students can access college funding through government, state and tribal aid. Resources for Adults Students

According to some estimates, 40% of all students are 25 years old or older. Unsurprisingly, more mature students often have more financial obligations than a typical 18-22 year old undergraduate. Below, learn about several scholarship opportunities for adult learners.

Scholarships for Immigrants Students

The Feakins Foundation provides multiple Scholarships (up to $2,000) twice a year to student immigrants who reside in Lancaster County, demonstrate academic excellence, and have financial need. Students are encouraged to apply by downloading their application and submitting it to the Feakins Foundation. Learn more below.

Scholarship for International Students

Global Scholarships’ mission is to provide an accessible way for international students to search and find comprehensive, accurate, and updated scholarship information. Towards that goal, they offer one (1) $3,000 scholarship to a prospective international student and a library of additional resources.
