Tenfold: Transitional Living Center Fund
About the Organization
Transitional Living Center (TLC) is a 52 room, short-term, interim housing facility staffed 24 hours/365 days a year. The focus of the TLC program is to end the cycle of homelessness and each household must be committed to the goal of finding permanent housing. TLC residents work one-on-one with their TLC case managers to develop a step-by-step plan to obtain permanent, sustainable housing. This plan includes a working budget and referrals to other services and resources including education, employment, and/or recovery, if needed. Additionally, TLC’s Life Long Learning classes offer participants the opportunity for personal and professional development.
Why is endowment important to your mission?
The Transitional Living Center depends each year on the generosity of Tabor’s many supporters. Tabor couldn’t serve people and the Lancaster community as they do without it. But also having an endowment fund is of enormous additional help in ensuring Tabor’s work will continue in the years to come. A fund that produces additional financial support every year provides an even stronger financial foundation for TLC’s work in helping people who have experienced homelessness return to permanent housing and makes it possible for Tabor to plan for its future even more effectively.
