About the Organization
Tenfold plays a central role in the county—through its comprehensive, integrated continuum of 15 housing and financial counseling programs—in preventing as well as responding to homelessness, assisting those who aspire to homeownership, and in counseling those struggling to manage their personal finances.
Families frequently come to Tenfold for one specific issue, such as homelessness, and continue working with Tenfold to clear up bad credit, build a savings account, and save for the purchase of a home.
Tenfold commits to helping these families make long-term changes to achieve self-sufficiency and works with most client families for three to five years. Tenfold serves over 4,000 client family cases in Lancaster County each year.
Why is endowment important to your mission?
Tenfold depends each year on the generosity of their many supporters as they could not serve people and the Lancaster community as they do without it. Having an endowment fund is also of enormous additional help in ensuring the work they do will continue in the years to come. A fund that produces additional financial support every year provides an even stronger financial foundation for Tenfold’s programs in housing and financial counseling and community development and makes it possible to plan for their future even more effectively.
