About the Organization
Mental illness touches everyone in some fashion – one in four persons annually. It may be you. It may be a family member, neighbor or co-worker.
Philhaven has been here for 60 years promoting hope, healing and wholeness as an expression of Christ’s love. Today we annually serve over 29,000 clients (40% reside in Lancaster County) of all ages in our various levels of care.
We help individuals facing a range of behavioral health issues, from persistent mental illness to dealing with difficult life events and relational challenges. Started in response to the inhumane conditions of state hospitals at that time, Philhaven constantly works to “find a better way” to meet the behavioral health needs of residents in our community.
Why is endowment important to your mission?
“Philhaven is making a concerted effort through 2020 to build its endowment to primarily fund charity care, expand services for clients with autism and developmental disabilities, and support education and prevention initiatives. Philhaven is grateful to the Legacy Circle members whose current and future gifts create this legacy to sustain their mission for generations to come.
