Lancaster Environmental Fund
The Lancaster Environmental Fund was established in 2005 with a gift from the Lancaster Environmental Foundation to:
- Preserve and protect the natural resources and the environment of Lancaster County, PA.
- Increase the awareness of the community on the need to manage and conserve natural resources and to protect the environment.
- Investigate, explore, study, and evaluate new, useful, and efficient methods, procedures, and technologies relating to resource conservation, waste management, and protection of the environment.
Since 2006, this fund has provided grants to support projects like: Welsh Mountain Preserve, restoring bee populations, installing riparian forest buffers, broadening farm conservation education, inspiring sustainable food systems, and more.
