Humane League of Lancaster Fund
About the Organization
The Humane League of Lancaster County is an independent, non-profit charity that is recognized as the area’s leader in animal welfare. Our dedicated staff and volunteers provide compassion and care to thousands of pets each year through a variety of services. Through low-cost spay/neuter clinics we are proactively addressing the problem of pet overpopulation in order to create a no-kill community. Our unique foster care program allows to us save even more lives while our partnerships with other rescues and shelters help us place an ever increasing number of animals in permanent and loving homes. Outreach adoption sites and activities also take our animals into the community where they belong. We value our volunteers, members, and supporters as important contributors to the work that we do. Through working together, we can achieve our vision of creating a humane community where all animals are protected and wanted.
Why is endowment important to your mission?
A healthy endowment ensures that the Humane League of Lancaster County as an organization continues to plan and move steadily forward towards our vision for the County’s future as a no-kill community. An endowment reminds us that that in addition to caring for the daily needs of today’s homeless pets we also work and plan for achieving our long term goals and making that vision a reality.
