About the Organization
Meals on Wheels of Lancaster meets a critical need in the community through delivery of well balanced, nutritious meals to the home bound. The recipient of MOW’s services is often a senior citizen living alone, an individual recovering from illness or injury or someone with disabilities. Our dedicated volunteers deliver smiles and a hot meal five days each week and provide a check on the safety and security of those in need.
Why is endowment important to your mission?
Meals on Wheels is committed to sustaining the critical service the agency provides to the community well into the 21st century. To do so will require a steady flow of funding from community minded individuals and organizations who are willing to demonstrate their commitment through generous contributions of time, talent and treasure. Donors to the Meals on Wheels endowment will be assured that their money is managed in perpetuity in keeping with the donors original intent and that in partnership with the Lancaster County Community Foundation that the corpus of the fund will be protected for the long term.
