Anna C. & W. Franklin Ressler Fund
The Anna C. & W. Franklin Ressler Fund was established to support community projects based in Eastern Lancaster County. The region is defined by the geographic boundaries of the Pequea Valley, Conestoga Valley, and Elanco School Districts.
Since 1997, the Anna C. & W. Franklin Ressler Fund has supported a variety of community projects that contribute to the vibrancy of Eastern Lancaster County, including:
- Elanco Green Infrastructure Demonstration and Education Project
- Welsh Mountain Accessibility and Restoration Project
- Lead poisoning research the Plain Sect children in the area
- CrossNet Ministries’ Food and Nutrition Program
- Pequea Valley District’s School-Based Health Center
- Employment Services for Individuals with Disabilities
- Junior Achievement’s financial literacy programs for middle schoolers
- Girls on the Run of Lancaster student scholarships in the region
Siblings, Franklin Ressler (1901-1993) and Anna Ressler (1895-1978), understood that their family’s home and mill were at the heart of the community, and they devoted themselves to seeing that the heart kept on beating.
