Centering BIPOC & Underrepresented Business Voices: A community conversation to promote equitable small business recovery

During the month of November, the Reinventing Our Communities (ROC) Cohort hosted 3 community conversations to garner important feedback from BIPOC small business owners within Lancaster County. The meeting series prompted input from nearly three dozen local business-owners. Since then, the cohort has been working to develop a multi-year strategic plan for equitable business recovery using feedback that was shared during the community conversations and insights from their learning journey.

We once again want to invite BIPOC small business owners to a community conversation where the ROC cohort will be presenting a draft strategic plan. We hope to hear small business owners feedback on the multi-year plan given their current needs and future aspirations for our community.

  • CANCELLED—>March 1 at Cafe 301 from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm
  • March 2 at Southern Market from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm
  • March 9 at Brightside Opportunities Center from 10:00 am to 11:30 am

Centrando las voces empresariales de BIPOC (Negros, indígenas y otra gente de color)” to “Centrando las voces empresariales subrepresentadas y de BIPOC (Negros, indígenas y otra gente de color)

Durante el mes de noviembre, la cohorte Reinventing Our Communities (ROC) organizó 3 conversaciones comunitarias para obtener comentarios importantes de los propietarios de pequeñas empresas BIPOC dentro del condado de Lancaster. La serie de reuniones generó aportes de casi tres docenas de propietarios de negocios locales. Desde entonces, la cohorte ha estado trabajando para desarrollar un plan estratégico plurianual para la recuperación empresarial equitativa utilizando los comentarios que se compartieron durante las conversaciones comunitarias y los conocimientos de su viaje de aprendizaje.

Una vez más, queremos invitar a los propietarios de pequeñas empresas a una conversación comunitaria donde la cohorte de ROC presentará un borrador del plan estratégico. Esperamos escuchar los comentarios de los propietarios de pequeñas empresas sobre el plan de varios años dadas sus necesidades actuales y aspiraciones futuras para nuestra comunidad.
