Lancaster Conservancy Ralph H Goodno Riverlands Fund
About the Organization
Our mission is to save and steward the ecosystems and landscapes upon which we depend for food, clean water and air, economic and public health, and the restoration of soul and spirit. We envision a strong relationship between people and our natural environment, which fosters a healthy and enriched community. We own 32 preserves with 30+ miles of trails available for public use free of charge all year. We have protected more than 4,900 acres of land since 1969. Positioned as we are above the imperiled Chesapeake Bay, we seek to safeguard and steward the natural lands within the Lower Susquehanna River Watershed.
Why is endowment important to your mission?
“While annual gifts support the Conservancy’s work from year to year, a planned gift such as an endowment contribution honors donors’ wishes and sustains their support for the Conservancy’s work far into the future. Whether it’s protecting and stewarding our treasured natural lands, greening our cities or sharing nature with children, it is your support that helps make it all happen. Your endowment gift strengthens the foundation that protects the natural world you love right here at home in Lancaster County.”
-Ralph Goodno, Former President & CEO, Lancaster County Conservancy
With the passing of Ralph Goodno, this fund has been re-named to honor his legacy and his visionary commitment to protecting natural lands in the Susquehanna River Hills and his work to establish this fund.
