The Gate House Endowment Fund
About the Organization
The Gate House provides drug and alcohol treatment to clients with severe addictions and related issues such as homelessness, legal involvement, mental health issues, family separation, physical health complication, etc. Among the vital services we provide our clients are therapy, education, community integration, life skills, job preparedness, family integration, etc. Our programs are licensed by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF). Founded in 1972 and located in Lancaster County, our mission is to provide effective gender-specific behavioral health services that assist chemically dependent people to establish lives in recovery.
Why is the endowment important to your mission?
As a non-profit organization funded primarily through Medical Assistance, our funding streams can be uncertain and are not generous. An endowment will enable us to (a) provide treatment to clients who would not otherwise have available funding; (b) add desperately needed services; and (c) continue with our mission whatever changes in public funding may occur in the future.
