Albert S. Rosman Scholarship Fund
Albert Rosman was a resident of Lancaster for 55 years. As a businessman, Albert sold shoes, juke boxes, and vending machines, finishing his career selling real estate and owning a local hotel. Mr. Rosman married Sonya Singer Rosman and together they had one son. Mr. Rosman was a member of Temple Shaarai Shomayim in Lancaster, B’nai B’rith, the Lancaster Jewish Community Center, and the Rising Star Lodge, and Free and Accepted Masons of Philadelphia.
Albert Rosman gave generously to the Lancaster General Hospital and the Children’s Home at the Masonic Home of Elizabethtown. At the end of his life, Albert Rosman established an endowed scholarship to provide a $1,500 scholarship for a Conestoga Valley High School student who is continuing their education in any field of study, and who is, in Albert’s words: “deserving, but not necessarily the most academically qualified student.”
Albert Rosman passed away at 84 on 1/23/1996. We are grateful for his legacy of generosity.
