Eloise C. Aurand Fund for the Enhancement of Cultural Life

Donate

A longtime resident of West Hempfield Township, Eloise’s interests lay in the arts- especially crafts, theater, and music. She served on many boards that supported the cultural scene in the county and was recognized for leading one of the most prestigious fine art and crafts events in the country – Long’s Park Art and Craft Festival.

Eloise’s legacy is memorialized in perpetuity through this fund, which, since 2019, supports the enhancement of cultural life in Lancaster County. Her generosity has supported projects including:

  • Church World Service’s Community Mural Project: Here, There Is Welcome
  • Showcasing the skill of artists with disabilities at Friendship Heart Gallery
  • Creation of neighbor-directed art at Culliton Park with Lancaster Public Art
  • Art for children at the Hands-on-House
  • The Black Artist Waystation at YWCA
  • Brazilian artist Bruno Miguel’s gallery show and talk at Pennsylvania College of Art & Design.
