Through our programs and initiatives, the Community Foundation works to Create Extraordinary Community in Lancaster County.

The Community Foundation supports a wide range of projects including arts and culture, community development, environment, education, capacity building, and health and human services.  Through a yearly competitive grant cycle, we invest wisely in Lancaster County, and support programs and organizations that make a positive difference in our community.

The Community Foundation's main focus is on opportunities to effect long-term community change.  Our initiatives are areas that have been identified as having the potential to make a difference and build on the sucesses in our community.  Currently, we are focused on two major efforts to build the capacity of organizations in our community and enhance the economic impact of the arts in Lancaster County.
